Who Am I?
Megan Morris
I was born and raised in the state of Washington. At the age of 16, I moved to Utah with my family. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
I am married to Taylor Morris, who is a 2018 Winter Olympian. Together we have an adorable daughter named Emery along with two feisty cats named Callie and Mollie. My love for learning began when I was an elementary student. My passion for teaching began in high school when I tutored my high school friends in their studies.
I taught a third grade class at Early Light Academy for the 2015-2016, 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 school years. In 2016, I moved to New York State to support my husband as he trained with the USA National Luge team. I substitute taught and traveled to many new places throughout that year I spent in New York. I missed teaching so much that I just had to move back to teach again and to be with the ELA family!
My interests include: hiking, running, reading, watching movies, and cooking. One of my biggest goals is to make learning fun for all of my students. I believe that it is important for all students to be taught independence, communication skills, leadership skills, confidence, and perseverance. My goal is for every student to feel successful and proud of their work. My mission is to have all of my students graduate second grade with a passion for learning, the drive to be successful, and the confidence to move on to third grade.
